Funding will accelerate deployment of AI-powered insurance workflow solutions and support development of scalable healthcare data infrastructure
RIIG Technology, operating under the HOOTL (Humans Out of the Loop) platform, has announced the successful close of a $6 million-plus Series A financing round to accelerate the development and deployment of AI-driven healthcare and infrastructure solutions.
The funding round, backed by family offices, a publicly listed entity, and high-net-worth investors, will primarily support the expansion of the company’s AI-powered healthcare insurance platform. The system is designed to streamline key administrative processes such as eligibility verification, claims validation, and adjudication workflows—areas that have long contributed to inefficiencies and revenue leakage in healthcare systems.
Initially focused on dental practices, the platform integrates with established practice management systems such as OpenDental and Dentrix Cloud, enabling providers to automate interactions with insurers while maintaining compliance with evolving regulatory requirements.
At its core, HOOTL leverages domain-specific AI agents capable of handling complex, rule-based processes in regulated environments. This approach reflects a broader shift in digital health toward specialised AI systems designed not only to improve efficiency but also to ensure accuracy and compliance in high-risk workflows such as healthcare billing and insurance processing.
Beyond healthcare, the company is also expanding its AI capabilities into adjacent sectors, including infrastructure and field service management. Planned deployments include solutions for industries such as construction, alongside the development of an AI Centre of Excellence supported by high-performance computing infrastructure.
The platform is also advancing edge-based AI applications, enabling real-time data processing and automated decision-making at the point of data collection. These capabilities are particularly relevant for healthcare environments where timely access to accurate information can directly impact operational efficiency and patient outcomes.
In parallel, RIIG is expanding its international footprint through strategic partnerships, including collaborations with government-backed organisations in the Middle East and the establishment of a Canadian subsidiary. These initiatives aim to extend the platform’s applications across global markets and regulated industries.
The funding milestone highlights increasing investment in AI-driven healthcare infrastructure, particularly in areas that address administrative complexity and system inefficiencies. As healthcare systems continue to face rising costs and operational pressures, platforms that enable automation, compliance, and real-time decision support are expected to play a growing role in digital transformation efforts.
